Michael Layne Cobb

Michael Layne Cobb stopped many years of pain and crossed the Rainbow Bridge to a healthy new life May 5, 2020 joining many family and friends.He was born January 8, 1945, the son of James Harold Cobb and Viola Whitman Wix. He was preceded in death by two brothers, James Dekel Cobb and Ronald Kirk Cobb. He leaves behind his loving wife of 53 years, Kathleen Marie Cobb, beloved son, Deke Layne Cobb (Tiffany), grandchildren, Kaya, Kaden and Kage, Edith Nelson mother-in-law, nieces, nephews, and several cousins.He proudly served in the U. S. Marine Corps and will continue to be a Marine for eternity. In his later years, Michael became a Special Education Teacher, Guidance Counselor, Assistant Principal, and Principal in the Duval County Public School System. He will be fondly remembered and missed by family, friends, former students and teachers.A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.Arrangements are under the direction of George H.
