Michael Campbell Farrar, age 62, passed from this life peacefully on October 24, 2014 at the Community Hospice Hadlow Center. He was born on October 15, 1952 in Akron, OH and spent his early life there. Mike has lived in Jacksonville, FL with his wife Christina for the last 40 years. He was an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Navy followed by almost 40 years as a civilian servant with the United States Department of Defense at FRICSE (NAS JAX). Mike enjoyed, golf and fishing, but his true love was football (especially Jaguars and Gators football). He deeply loved his family and friends and was loved by them. Mike brought much joy and laughter into our lives with his quick-witted sense of humor, as he always had a joke for every occasion. He was preceded in death by his son Andrew Farrar, parents Ronald, Sr. and Sophia Farrar and his sister Beverly Farrar. He is survived by his wife Christina, brother Ronald Farrar, Jr. (Paula) Chillicothe, OH, sister Kimberly Farrar Lancaster, OH, nieces Meschel, Emily, Jolee, nephews Sean, Kit, Joseph, Ronald III, along with his extended family in-laws, Charlotte Vanek, Bill and Diana Myers, Donald and Debbie Vanek, with additional extended family in Ohio. He leaves many other good friends and his loyal canine Sassy. Rev. Steve McCollum of First Baptist Church (Dwtn Jax), will be officiating the service at George H.
