Michael "Mike" Allan Ganey

Mr. Michael A. Ganey, aged 61, of Keystone Heights, passed away at his home Sunday, June 7, 2020. He was born August 15, 1958, in Gainesville to the late Isaac and Barbara (Harmon) Ganey. Mike earned his BS in Business Administration from UF and a BS in Accounting from USF, leading him to own and operate a small accounting business in the heart of Keystone Heights for several years. He loved fishing, hunting, gardening and was an avid Florida Gator fan. Mike is survived by his children Isaac Ganey of Melbourne, Allison Ganey of Ridgefield, CT, and step-son Chris Kempton of Ridgefield, CT. Also left behind are his three brothers, Rick Ganey (Kelley) and Brett Ganey, all of Jacksonville, and Steve Ganey (Kristi) of Gainesville. In addition to his children, Mike leaves behind his dog Maddie, who was his constant companion for the last three years. A small family service will be held at a later date.
