Michael R. Griffis

Michael Rowan Griffis age 51, of Starke passed away on Friday, July 29, 2016 at St. Vincents Medical Center Clay County in Middleburg. Born in Starke on April 6, 1965, Michael was a loving and devoted son, brother, uncle, great uncle, and friend. He loved watching his great nieces and nephews play baseball and softball. He enjoyed hunting, farming, gardening, watching television, and being with his family. Preceded in death by his father, Sidney Franklin Griffis, Jr., Michael is survived by his loving mother, Therese "Terry" Griffis of Starke; brother, Sidney F. Griffis, III of Starke; and sister, Brenda Ricketson (Donald) of Vidalia, GA. Also left behind are numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other family members, and friends. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 3, 2016 in the De Witt C. Jones Chapel with Pastor Tim Mulkey officiating. Arrangements are by JONES-GALLAGHER FUNERAL HOME, 620 E.
