Mr. Michael Arthur Mike Johnson age 61, of Keystone Heights passed away Friday, May 17, 2013 at the Shands Hospital in Starke. Mike was born in Morrisville, Vermont on January 27, 1952 to the late Lloyd Winthrop and Vera Gertrude (Christensen) Johnson, Sr. Prior to moving to Keystone Heights in 1988, Mike had been a resident of Jacksonville for many years. He retired from the United States Navy as an Aviation Electrician following 20 years of dedicated service. He then began a new career with the automobile industry, selling for Nissan in Jacksonville and Starke Ford. Mike was a member of the St. Annes Episcopal Church in Keystone Heights and had also attended the Lake Hill Baptist Church. He was a member of the Keystone Heights Am-Vets, a Volunteer Fireman for Keystone, and he enjoyed fishing, target shooting, attended the local Turkey Shoots, motorcycles, and he was an avid reader. Mikes most precious time was being with his family, watching his grandchildren play sports, and taking care of his cat and dog. Mike is survived by his many loving family members; his wife of 34 years, Patricia (Hutson) Johnson and their three children; Tina Marie Urbizo (Carlos) of Pembroke Pines, William Johnson and Brandi Suco (Carlos Holguin) all of Keystone Heights; one brother, Lloyd W. Johnson, Jr. (Jane) of San Antonio, Texas; two sisters, Marilyn Stokes (Ronnie) of Beverly Hills, FL, Beverly Young (Ray) of Naples, and his mother in law, Mary Hutson of Keystone Heights. Also left behind are his five wonderful grandchildren; Paige, Kasper, Jake, Gabriel, and Connor, and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and extended family and friends. A memorial service for Mike will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 23, 2013 in the Lake Hill Baptist Church with Pastor Jim Snell officiating.
