Mr. Michael W. "Mike" Miranowicz age 82, of Keystone Heights passed away Tuesday, July 6, 2021, in Gainesville following a brief illness. He was born December 10, 1938, in New York City, New York to the late Sigmund and Anna (Pankiewicz) Miranowicz. Mr. Miranowicz retired from the United States Navy as "Chief", CPO, following 22 years of dedicated service. He has been a resident of Keystone Heights since 1977 and enjoyed golfing, fishing, and cooking, but most of all spending time with his family. Mr. Miranowicz is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Susan (Davis) Miranowicz and their children Shelly K. Miranowicz and Richard "Butch" M. Miranowicz all of Keystone Heights along with his brother Andrew Miranowicz of Bloomingburg, New York. He was lovingly called "Poppa" or "Grandpa" by his grandchildren Keri, Kellie, Marcus, Sarah and Matthew and great grandchildren Rexi, Luke, Kason, Kipton, Savannah, Ezra and Elijah. Memorial services for Mr. Miranowicz will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 15, 2021, with his daughter Shelly Miranowicz officiating. Interment will be at the Jacksonville National Cemetery with Military Honors. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Wounded Warriors Project.
