Michael Edward Wainwright

Michael Edward Wainwright, age 63 of Kingsley Lake passed away on June 15, 2018 at Shands Starke. Michael was born on November 3, 1954 to Louie Lee and Edna Edwards Wainwright in Gainesville, Florida. He retired as a comptroller for the State of Florida. Following retirement Michael enjoyed camping and spending time at his property in Georgia and at his home on Kingsley Lake.He was preceded in death by his mother, Edna Wainwright; and his brother, Louie Wainwright, Jr. Survivors include, his father, Louie (Anabel) Wainwright, Sr. of Tallahassee, Florida and sister, Sherry Wainwright of Gainesville, Florida. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at the DeWitt C. Jones Chapel with Pastor John Gallman officiating. A visitation will precede the services beginning at 1:00 p.m. A private burial will take place at Kingsley Lake Cemetery at a later date.
