Mike Osteen

Mr. Howard "Mike" Osteen 65 of Starke passed away Sunday, September 5, 2021, in Middleburg following a brief illness. He was born June 21, 1956, in Starke to Howard L. and Carmella (Famiglietti) Osteen. Mike graduated from BHS in 1974 and began his 40 plus year career with Winn Dixie earning his way to Produce Manager. He was an active member of Madison Street Baptist Church and loved his family. He was known for his attention to detail and maintaining his vehicles and his yard. Anyone that knew Mike knew he had a heart of gold and a big smile to go with it. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother Tony Osteen. His survivors are his loving and dedicated wife of 45 years Carol (Coleman) Osteen of Starke and their two children Michelle Brooks (Chris) of Starke and Michael Osteen (Candace) of Hampton along with his father and mother in-law Hilton and Nancy Coleman of Starke. He was lovingly called "Pops" by Darsyn, Emersyn, Knox, Oaklee, Kyle (Andrea), and Wesley. Visitation for Mike will be held at Madison Street Baptist Church Wednesday, September 8, 2021, beginning at 11:00 a.m. Memorial services will begin at 12:00 p.m. with Rev. Richard Carson officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to The Madison Street Building Fund, 900 W. Madison St. Starke, FL 32091.
