Mrs. Mildred Joyce Miller Barnett, 83, of Starke, passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville following an extended illness. Mildred was born in Ingleside, Texas on February 9, 1926 to the late John C. and Effie E. (Dendy) Miller. She moved to Starke in 1970 from Garfield, AR, and attended the Sampson City Church of God a was a Homemaker. Mrs. Barnett is survived by her daughter: Gloria Gene Barnett of Melbourne, sons: James E. Barnett, Randy K. Barnett , and Cliff H. Barnett all of Starke and Roger Barnett of Sanford, NC. Joyce is also survived by her 17 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Howard Eugene Barnett and two daughters; Carolyn Joyce Barnett and Doris Jeanette Barnett. Viewing will be held on Friday, September 4th from 5-7 p.m. in the DeWitt C. Jones Chapel. Graveside services will be held at Crosby Lake Cemetery on Saturday, September 5, 2009 at 11 oclock with Reverend Gene Bass officiating.
