Mrs. Mildred F. Cherry, 83 of Keystone Heights passed away, Friday, December 13, 2013 at the Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center in Palatka. Mrs. Cherry was born October 12, 1930 in Green Cove Springs to the late Henry and Alice (Sweat) Bohannon. She has been a lifelong resident of Clay County and was a homemaker. She was of the Baptist Faith and enjoyed traveling on vacations, and taking care of her puppies. Mrs. Cherry is survived by her husband of 47 years, Walter L. Cherry; six children, Marchell Gilmore, Tyna Cherry, Nancy Waldrup, Roger Gilmore, Rodney Gilmore, and Mary Garrison; one brother, Glenn Bohannon; five grandchildren, Jessica Cherry, Tessa Searels, Tammy Morton, Charles Waldrup II, and Salina Mannion, along with numerous great and great great grandchildren. A memorial service for Mrs. Cherry will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in the Jones-Gallagher Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Charlie Hunt officiating.
