Mildred D. Goldman Mildred D. Goldman, retired teacher, died September 10, 2011. She was born in Milledgeville, Georgia on May 25, 1926 but was reared in Lincoln County, Georgia where she was Valedictorian of her 1943 graduating class. Earning a B.S. in Elementary Education from GSCW (now GC SU) in Milledgeville, she began her teaching career in Florida in 1947 and retired in 1980. Her memberships include Highlands Baptist Church, DCREA, FREA, Order of the Eastern Star currently affiliated with America Chapter #124, Daughters of the Nile (Khem Temple #85), and Ladies of Oriental Shrine (Al-Mas Court #100). Mildred was predeceased by her husband, John T. (Jake) Goldman Jr., her parents, A. H. and Maude Lewis Danner, and three brothers, Theron Maynard, D. T. Danner and sister, Edna D. Hill; Survivors include sister, Oleeta D. Britt, Tifton, GA, sister-in-law, Lenora W. Danner, Lincolnton, GA, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. At her request only graveside services will be held Friday at 11:00 AM in Loco Baptist Church Cemetery, Lincoln County, Georgia with Rev. Allen Danner officiating.
