Mildred Virginia "Lawson" Woodham, age 93, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on June 28, 2015. Mildred was born on May 2, 1922 in Dothan, Alabama to the late Henry and Zula Lawson. She served as a Foster Parent at Childrens Home Society for 10 years, and was a member of Terry Parker Baptist Church in Jacksonville. Mildred and her husband Woody were married for 76 years. She loved music, gardening, housekeeping, was an excellent cook and enjoyed all things God made. She was animal lover as well. Mrs. Woodham will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who loved her heavenly Father.Preceded in death by her husband, Arland "Woody"Woodham,parents, Henry Lawson and Zula "Cannington; siblings, Marvin "Buddy" (Sara) Lawson, Ewell (Mary) Lawson, Jim "Jinx" (Christine) Lawson, Alton Lawson (Ada), Bill (Montene) Lawson, Eunice Lawson Castleberry (Frank), and Louise Turlington (J.C.), and several nieces and nephews. Survivors include her son, Arland (Gerri) Woodham of Jacksonville, Florida; daughter, Gail (Tom) Keisler of Chiefland, Florida; 7 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren; and her sister Celeste Swindell of Lakeland, Florida.Funeral services will take place in the DeWitt C. Jones Chapel on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at 2PM with a visitation starting at 1PM; officiated by Pastor Tom Keisler.
