Milta May Williams

Mrs. Milta May Cooper Williams, age 95 of Starke, at home surrounded by her family, peacefully passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2021. She was born on January 24, 1925 in Morehead, Kentucky to the late Ralph and Sena Cooper. She and one of her sisters moved to Florida in 1942, she married her high school sweetheart "Charney" in 1946 and in 1950 they became lifelong residents of Bradford County. In 1951, together they opened the first location of Williams Jewelry where they passed down their love of family, care for community, the art of jewelry making, and importance of customer service to all three of their children. Williams Jewelry in Starke continues to carry on their legacy as this year brings the celebration of 70 years of customer service. Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years A.C. "Charney" Williams of Starke; six sisters, three brothers, and one great-great granddaughter, Trinity. She is survived by her three children: Brenda Williams Griffis (Ellis), David Williams (Linda); and Vicki Williams Forsyth (Kimbo) all of Starke. Six grandchildren: David Williams, Jr.; Lisa Wilson; Dana Greene; Brenda Norman; Stephanie Catalano; and Tracy Moore; Fifteen great grandchildren: Robert; Kristin; Brent; Laycee; Sean; Jade; Ashley; Lanson; Savannah; Josiah; Jordan; Kelsie; Kanler; Davin and Shaney. Ten great-great grandchildren: Jayven; Trigg; Kip; Robbie; Rebecca; Braylyn; Charney; Madelyn; PJ and Palmer. And three sisters: Maxine Barrier of Cincinnati, Ohio; Oletia Crosby of Tallahassee, Florida; and Betty Hugo of Cincinnati, Ohio. Family and friends will gather at 3336 SE 132nd Way (Starke) for visitation from 3pm-4pm on Monday, January 25, 2021 and a service will follow at 4pm with Pastor Scott Crook officiating.For those who are unable to attend in person, we will also share her service live on our Williams Jewelry Family Facebook page.
