Milton Gordon

Milton Gordon, a beloved husband, treasured friend, and dedicated law enforcement officer, embarked on his final journey on December 9, 2025, at the age of 89. Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on June 4, 1936, Milton spent his early years in the heart of the Midwest before eventually making Gainesville, Florida, his cherished home.

Milton began his career in the United States Marine Corp. February 1966 - September 1971 he served in Vietnam; A/1/26; Hotel/2/4 and 3rd Recon Battalion.

Milton's legacy is defined by his unwavering service to others. After earning his associate's degree, he committed himself to a career in law enforcement, where he served honorably as a police officer at the Malcolm Randall V.A. Medical Center. Throughout his career, Milton was known for his compassionate demeanor and dedication to the well-being of those he served, leaving a lasting impact on his community and the lives of countless individuals.

Milton is survived by his beloved spouse, Susan Gordon, with whom he shared a life filled with love, laughter, and adventure. Together, they created a warm and nurturing environment that welcomed family and friends alike. His spirit will continue to shine brightly through the cherished memories he made with Susan and those who adored him.

As we reflect on Milton's remarkable life, we celebrate the values he embodied: kindness, bravery, and selflessness. His contributions to the field of law enforcement and his devotion to his loved ones have left an indelible mark on our hearts. Milton was also a member of the Elks Lodge 990; The American Legion and The VFW.

A memorial service to honor the life of Milton Gordon will be held on January 6, 2026 at Forest Meadows Funeral Home 725 NW 23rd Avenue, Gainesville, Florida 32609 at 1:00 pm where family and friends will gather to share stories, reflect on his joyous spirit, and celebrate his extraordinary journey. Following the service, Milton will be laid to rest at Forest Meadows Cemetery, 3700 SE Hawthorne Road, Gainesville, Florida ensuring that his memory will remain close to the hearts of all who knew him.
