Minnie Frankie Dean

Minnie Frankie Dean, 92, resident at Taylor Manor in Jacksonville, went home to be with the Lord on February 13, 2017 at Community Hospice/Earl B. Hadlow Center for Caring. She was born on August 5, 1924 in Vienna, Georgia to Benjamin F. Mills and Minneola (Cowan) Mills. She attended Englewood Baptist Church for many years and was loved by everyone. She enjoyed crocheting, collecting dolls, and the Gators. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 60 years, Luther Harvey Dean and son-in-law, John Schotanus. She is survived by her siblings, Elizabeth Smith and Eugene Mills; daughters, Judy Schotanus and Alice Hendon (Mark); grandchildren, Sam (Shannon), John, Joshua, Jason (Bobbie), Kali, and Nicole (Dale); and great-grandchildren, Blair, Gabbi, Frankie, Jordan, Savannah, and Sarah. Funeral services will be held on Friday February 17, 2017 at 11:00am in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Blvd., S. with Rev. Billy W. Jones officiating.
