Minnie Newton Morgan

Mrs. Minnie Newton Morgan age 96, of Starke passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2017 in Starke. Mrs. Morgan was born on March 11, 1920 in Conway, South Carolina to the late Harley Mayo and Mary Martha (Chestnut) Newton and moved to Starke in 1993 from Jacksonville. Prior to retirement she worked as a telephone operator. Preceding her in death was her husband Ernest E. Morgan. Survivors are: her daughter, Patricia a "Pat" MaGahee of Starke and three grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the DeWitt C. Jones Chapel of Jones-Gallagher Funeral Home on Thursday, February 23, 2017 from 6-8 pm. A Graveside funeral service will be held on Friday, February 24, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Jacksonville Memory Gardens, 111 Blanding Blvd., Orange Park, FL 32073 with Pastor Aaron Morgan officiating.
