Mrs. Miriam "Dorine" Cantrell, age 59, a longtime resident of Keystone Heights passed away at her home, Monday, December 7, 2015 following and extended illness. She was born in Jacksonville June 11, 1956 and was a housewife. Dorine was a member of Hope Baptist Church and had worked for Sweet Ps prior to her illness. She enjoyed spending time with her husband outdoors camping, kayaking, hiking, fishing and riding with him on the motorcycle. She also enjoyed singing and loved her grandchildren to the moon and back. Dorine is survived by her husband of 41 years, Ernie Cantrell and their two children; Jacqueline Ivy Boyter (Henry III) of Jacksonville and Jesse Tyler Cantrell (Rena) of Florahome; parents, William and Miriam (Guiterrez) Stokes of Palatka; siblings, Robby Stokes and Vicki Andrews both of Jacksonville and Daniel Stokes of Texas. Also left behind are her precious grandchildren, Ethan Reese Cantrell, Shelby Carol Boyter, Adelyn Riley Cantrell and Bradley Michael Boyter. A memorial service for Dorine will be held at Hope Baptist Church, Friday, December 18, 2015 at 3:30 p.m. with Dr. Larry Strickland officiating. In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations to please be made to the ALS Association Florida Chapter, INC., 3242 Parkside Circle, Tampa, FL 33619.
