Mr. Mitchell Scott Hare, 49 of Orange Park, passed away Friday, January 13, 2023 unexpectedly. Mr. Hare was born August 20, 1973 in Jacksonville to parents James Mitchell Hare and Deborah (Eaton) Norris. Scott never met a stranger - everyone was a friend. He loved telling his stories, having long and true talks, and would be quick to let you know if he was right. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, surfing, swimming at the springs, snowboarding, drinking beer, and spending time hanging out with his friends and family. Scott would never tell anyone "Goodbye" it was always "See ya later" or "See ya". His mother preceded him in death. Survivors are his children, Austin Scott Hare "Ash", Taylor Dawn Hare "Quarter Pint" and Hunter Scott Hare "H Man" all of Jacksonville, father, James "Mitch" Hare (Linda) of Orange Park, brother, Eric "Hodgie" Hare of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, sisters, Laura "Lullibelle" Meads of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and Heather Caroll of Orange Park, granddaughter, Malaya Norris, as well as many other family members and friends. Funeral Services will be held Friday, January 27, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. in the Helm-Gallagher Funeral Home Chapel. The family will hold a time of visitation from 12:00 p.m. until the start of the service.
