Mitchella J. "Mickey" Ruoss age 67 of Starke, passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at Haven Hospice Suwannee Valley care Center in Lake City. Mickey was born on March 13, 1954 in Massillon, Ohio to the late William H. and Betty Jeanine (Cutcher) Dayton. Prior to retirement she worked as a stock clerk for Winn Dixie. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Shade Ruoss and siblings, Sheila Collins, Cindy McGee and Steve Dayton. Survivors are, her children, Kelly Thornton of Starke, Michael S. Mercer of Texas, brother, Jimmy Wingate, grandchildren, Michael Monnier, Caleb Thornton, Tyler Thornton, Jasmine Monnier, Lily Mercer and her great granddaughter, Esther Jeanine Selph-Monnier. Also left is her close friend and caregiver, Jack Gales of Starke. The family will have a private memorial service at Florida National Cemetery at a later date.
