BENTON: Bert Durell Benton Jr., 93, who passed away on July 1, 2025. Mr. Benton was born in Savannah, Georgia and was a longtime resident of Jacksonville, Florida. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp. He was a member of Southside Methodist Church and was the President of Jacksonville Film Service. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years, the late Mary Florence Anderson Benton; Survivors include his 3 sons, Bert Durell Benton III (Mary), Patrick Frank Benton (Terry), and Jim Anderson Benton (Kristi); 8 greatgrandchildren. Funeral services are private.
