Mrs. Betty S. Tew

Mrs. Betty S. (Saunders) Tew, 71, passed away Monday, June 6, 2016 at the Pavilion at Penney Farms. Mrs. Tew was born August 26, 1944 in Penney Farms to the late Jesse and Gladys (Pringle) Saunders. She was a member of First Black Creek Baptist Church. Survivors are her husband Lester A. Tew of Penney Farms, daughter, Teresa Capo of Green Cove Springs, son, Philip Tew of Chester, VA, sister, Pam Starling of Ocala, and her grandchildren, Philip Tew, Jr., Beverly Tew, Dana Tew, and Emily Capo, all of Clay County. A Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, May 9, 2016 at Helm-Gallagher Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 10, 2016 at the First Black Creek Baptist Church with Pastor Dean Slocumb officiating. Burial will follow in the First Black Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
