Mrs. Evelyn Santiago Buckhalter

Mrs. Evelyn Santiago Buckhalter, 54 of Green Cove Springs, passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2019. Mrs. Buckhalter was born November 26, 1964 in Jersey City, New Jersey to parents Rubencito and Gloria Santiago. She served in the United States Navy and retired as a case worker with the State of Pennsylvania. In her spare time, she loved tending to her flowers, gardening, and spending time with her family. Survivors are her husband, Cecil Buckhalter of Green Cove Springs, sons, Lorenzo Santiago of Wisconsin, and Timothyjohn Santiago, Sr. of Palatka, daughter-in-law, Presleigh Santiago of Palatka, parents, Rubencito and Gloria Santiago of Puerto Rico, brothers, Jimmy Santiago, his wife Nancy and their 5 children, and Tony Santiago and his 3 children, and sister, Bernice Santiago Tidwell, her husband Damon and their 3 children. Also surviving her are her grandchildren, Angelo, Jazmine, Anthony, Timothyjohn Jr., and a grandchild on the way. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 10, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Helm-Gallagher Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 11, 2019 in the Chapel of Helm-Gallagher Funeral Home, 1811 Idlewild Avenue, SR 16, Green Cove Springs, FL 32043 with Pastor Ira Cloud officiating. Burial will follow in the Hickory Grove Cemetery.
