Ms. Beatrice Alene "Bea" Hildreth

Mrs. Beatrice Alene "Ms. Bea" Hildreth age 88, of Kingsley Lake passed away Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Shands Hospital in Starke. She was born February 3, 1930 in Starke, to the late Theodore and Leona (Crews) Edwards. Mrs. Hildreth grew up a Lawtey girl, attended Bradford schools and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Florida. Ms. Bea retired from the Bradford County Health Department following 22 years of service as a Registered Nurse. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Starke and enjoyed sitting on her front porch watching birds. Everyone knew that she was an avid Gator sports fan until the Gators played Alabama then she was "Roll Tide". Her husband of fifty four years, Herb Hildreth and three siblings, Carl Edwards, Evelyn Tucker and Edna Wainwright had all preceded her in death. Survivors are her four children Carol Clyatt (Lanier) of Brooker, Nancy LeAnn Hildreth of Raleigh, North Carolina, Mark Hildreth of Kingsley Lake and Herb Hildreth, Jr .(Cathy) of Ashville, North Carolina. Also included are six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 12, 2018 with Pastor C.J. Burroughs officiating. Interment will be at Crosby Lake Cemetery.
