Obituary

Mrs. Muriel Mercedes Boyette Wilson age 90, of Lawtey, passed away Monday, June 16, 2014 at her residence. Mrs. Wilson was born on November 15, 1923 in Birmingham Alabama to the late William Elias and Mabel Merrilee (Rape) Boyette. Muriel was a longtime area resident and was a homemaker. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Starke, an avid bridge player, and a supportive military wife. Survivors are: her husband of 72 years Col. William Wilson of Lawtey, daughters: Del Dougherty (Jim) of Gainesville, Wendie Crommelin (John) of Atlanta, Jackie Sullivan (Steve) of Belleville, IL, Billie Bloom (John) of Lawtey; Sons: William Wilson, Jr. of Lawtey, Ray Wilson of Orange Park, and John Wilson (Becky) of Lawtey. She is also survived by twenty two grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at the FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 200 North Walnut Street in Starke on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Mike Moore officiating.
