Myrtis Marie Carter age 85 of Mt. Dora, Florida passed away at May 4, 2019. Mrs. Carter was born in Springville, TN to the late Audie and Myrtle Goforth on November 13, 1933. Myrtis worked as a chiropractor for many years and was a faithful member of Astatula Baptist Church.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by; sisters, Mary G. Alcorn and Brenda G. Jewell; and brother, James Goforth. Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Francis "Lamar" Carter; sisters, Wanda G. Malone and Ashley Goforth; and her brothers, Jerry Goforth and Larry Goforth.Memorial services will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Astatula Baptist Church: 13239 Florida Ave, Astatula, FL 34705. Pastor Travis Lane will be officiating.Arrangements are by JONES-GALLAGHER FUNERAL HOME OF STARKE 904-964-6200.
