Nancy Davis Boss, 74, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away peacefully on March 12,2015. A funeral service and joyful celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 11am at All Saints Episcopal Church, 4171 Hendricks Avenue with the Rev. Donavan Cain officiating. Nancy was born in Gainesville, Florida on September 9, 1940 to Carl J. & Mary Jo Means Davis. A graduate of Landon High School class of 1958, Nancy was married to her high school sweetheart Michael C. Boss for 51 years. He preceded her in death. She was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church. She served with her husband Michael at churches in Pensacola, Florida, St. Augustine, Florida, Charleston, South Carolina, and St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Jacksonville where he was the Rector. Nancy was a devoted wife, mother, sister and friend. She was always thinking of the needs of others before her own. She truly lived out her strong faith. To know her was to love her.Nancy is survived by her daughter Laurie B. Clark (Anthony) of Orlando, Florida; sons, Michael W. Boss (Deborah) of Jacksonville and Aldrich L. Boss (Ann-Stewart) of Bethesda, Maryland; two sisters, Bonnie J. Thomas (Richard) of Jacksonville, and Margaret A. Gibson of Rome, Georgia; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Mrs. Boss was preceded in death by her parents.The family will receive friends for visitation from 6-8pm on Friday, March 20, 2015 at the George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Boulevard South, Jacksonville, FL 32216. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Nancy Davis Boss Memorial Fund at All Saints Episcopal Church.
