Nancy Lorraine (Reed) Dowd age 75 of Keystone Heights, FL formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, March 5, 2009 in her home following a long illness. She was born on May 7, 1933 in Decorah, Iowa She was a professional seamstress working at Jeans Fashion and Von Maur in Lindale Mall. She was a member of the Lake Area Bible Church in Melrose, FL and enjoyed doll collecting, fishing, and camping. Survivors are a son Edward Reed of Alburnett, Iowa daughters: Sheila (Jeff) Grosvenor of Palm Bay, FL; Margaret Reed of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Mary (Kevin) Struve of Vinton, Iowa; Michele (John) Leverone of Ash Fork, Arizona; brother: Chester (Shirley) Sheetz of Cedar Rapids, Iowa sister: Mildred Tristani of Keystone Heights, FL; 12 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Chester and Emma Ploeger Sheetz; first husband Kenneth L. Reed; 2nd husband Raymond Dowd; two sons: Keith and Kevin Reed; brothers: Merton and Donald Sheetz; sisters: Ora Mae Cozart; Grace Hartson; Helen Rouse and Margaret Sheetz; and a granddaughter Nikki Leverone. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, March 10th at 10:00 AM in Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories with Reverend Rick Gail of First Assembly of God Church officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home on Monday, March 9th from 5-8 PM. hide
