Funeral Mass for Mrs. Nancy Alvarez Rebenack, 89, widow of Alfred Theodore Rebenack will be held at 2:00p.m. Monday, July 11, 2022 in the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, 121 E. Duval St., with Father Ed Murphy, as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Marys section of Evergreen Cemetery. A Rosary will be said at 3:00p.m., Sunday, July 10th in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Blvd., S. with a visitation to follow. Born December 21, 1932, in Rome, GA to Jane and Charles Alvarez, Mrs. Rebenack died Sunday, July 3, 2022 in a local hospital. She was a member of the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and a retired secretary from the Cobb County, Georgia School System. She was predeceased by two sisters, Jane Ann Alvarez and Elizabeth Conner Alvarez Bowes. Survivors include a step-daughter, Sharon Louise Wright of Moro, Illinois; her brother, Charles David Alvarez, Jr. of Jacksonville; 3 step-grandchildren, Sherri Brack, Erica Wright and Kevin Wright; 5 nieces, Margaret Thoeni, Jennifer Johnson, Martha Wright, Carolyn Bowes and Dixie Alvarez; 2 nephews, Guy Sidney Alvarez, Jr. and Stephen M. Bowes III and several great-nieces and great-nephews..
