Nancy Phillips Tuten, age 70, of Lake Geneva, passed away, Monday, November 11, 2013. She was born March 22, 1943 in Buffalo, New York to the late Ren D. Phillips, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Place. Nancy was a bookkeeper, doing tax preparation for many around the Keystone Heights area and was known as the tax return lady. Her main focus was being a homemaker and caring for her family and beloved husband. Along with her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Ann Phillips. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Al Tuten of Lake Geneva, children, Ansel Lamar Tuten, Jr. of Georgia, Debbie Shepard of Bell, Maureen Berryhill of Newberry and Barbara Cottom of Melrose and 2 brothers, Clarence Phillips and Ren Phillips, Jr. Nancy is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, November 14, 2013 at Jones-Gallagher Funeral Home in Keystone Heights with Pastor James Peoples officiating. hide
