Nelson Clark Nichols

Sergeant 1st Class Nelson Clark Nichols III 47 of Keystone passed away Tuesday August 25, 2020, surrounded by his family after he battled cancer. He was born in Pasadena, Texas to Nelson and Charlotte (Lane) Nichols, Jr. Nelson moved to Keystone Heights a year and a half ago from Cape Coral and was in his 27th year of honorably serving his country in the Army National Guard. His loving wife and family was his world, he enjoyed cooking, building model rockets and working with his hands. Nelsons mother had preceded him in death. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 21 years Melanie (Reynolds) Nichols and four children Carter Nichols (Emma) who is serving in the Army and stationed in New York, Anthony Nichols of Keystone Heights, Zain Nichols who is serving in the Army and stationed in Germany, and Bryson Nichols of Keystone Heights. As well as 2 grandsons Alex and Slate (Carter). Also left behind is his father Nelson Nichols, Jr. of Fredonia, Arizona and his siblings Charnel, Tracy, Nathan, Heidi, Beth, Mona and Jamie; father and mother in-law Robert and Mary Ann Reynolds of Cape Coral and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family and friends that will miss him dearly. A Celebration of life will be held at a later date.
