Nn Dng Trn passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on October 31, 2023, at the age of 101, in Gainesville, FL. She was born in Bin Ha, Vietnam in 1923. She, her late husband, Mng Vn Trn, and their six children moved to America in 1975. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and a compassionate friend. Her greatest joy was spending time with her loved ones, always thinking and caring for others before herself. She was a devout practicing Buddhist. Gardening was her favorite hobby, and she spent many happy hours tending to her beautiful plants, flowers and fruit trees. Her passion was cooking and sharing her food with anyone and everyone she welcomed into her home. All the people that met her truly felt her love. Her caring hospitality touched everyones hearts. Her family will deeply miss her but feel very lucky and fortunate to have had many, many years with their beloved mother, grandmother, and great-great grandmother.She is survived by her six children: Yen Lundy (Daryl), Lan Tran, Van Tran (Qua), Thanh Nieman, Hung Tran (Ha), and Hau Tran (Euna); and her 10 grandchildren April (Chip), Kimberly, Lynn, Daniel, Kevin, Nicole (Marcus), Minh, Alain, Tessie (Tae Min), and Remy.Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at Forest Meadows Funeral Home; 725 NW 23 rd Avenue, Gainesville, FL 32609. The Buddhist prayer ceremony will begin at 9:45am - 11:30am; Visitation at 11:30am-12:45pm; with final remembrance and cremations ceremony to follow.In lieu of flowers or donations, the family kindly asks for your thoughts andprayers.
