Nina Goodwin Hudson, age 68, passed away on Thursday January 6, 2022 at her home in Jacksonville, surrounded by her loving family.Nina was born November 6, 1953 in Kittery, Maine to Robert & Lucille Goodwin. She was a graduate of Winter Park High School, Class of 1971 and later received her AA Degree from Valencia Community College. Nina retired in 2009 after many years working for Crest Chevrolet as a data entry specialist. A long-time resident of Jacksonville, having come here in December 1984, Nina was a member of Southpoint Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending as much time as she could with her grandbabies, playing basketball in the backyard, & rearranging the house. Being with her family was what brought her the greatest joy. They spent a lot of time up in the mountains and sitting around sharing way too many laughs.A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday January 12, 2022 in George H. Hewell & Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Blvd., S., with Dr. Terry N. Collins officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until service hour.Nina was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Tiffany & Grahame Goodwin. She is survived by her beloved husband of 47 years, Charles N. Hudson; her children Jason Hudson (Jennifer), Christy Hudson (Liam Smith) & Amy Hudson (Benjamin Moody); 2 grandchildren Adeline & Austin; a brother Karl Goodwin (Tiffany); a step daughter, Charlotte Scanlan as well as by many extended family, church family & friends.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Ninas name to Susan G.
