Mrs. Norma Edenfield Hoffman 89, of Keystone Heights passed away comfortably ather home on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. Shewas born in Fort Myers on September 20, 1932, to Ervin E. and Alita (Yomans)Edenfield. Mrs. Hoffman graduated from Ft. Myers High School in 1950, andEarned her Masters Degree in Education with Honors from The University theFlorida. Prior to retirement from teaching at Gainesville High School teachingbusiness and vocational skills, she also coordinated the Competency-BasedEducation known as CBE, and sponsored F.B.L.A. (Future Business Leaders ofAmerica). In 1998 she joined Trinity Baptist Church where she taught SundaySchool and was active with the Silver Saints. She was a member of Sisters ofThe Lake, Red Hat Society and remained very involved in the Altrusa House ofGainesville throughout her career and well into her retirement.In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her daughter,Linda Faye Henderson and son in-law John Henderson. Her survivors include herloving and devoted husband of 72 years, Jerome Hoffman of Keystone Heightsand children Jay Hoffman (Glennie) of Jupiter and Ervin "Keith" Hoffman(Lisa) of Bonita Springs. She was lovingly called "Nanny" by nine grandchildrenand twelve great-grandchildren. A memorial service for Mrs. Hoffman will be heldat 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 8 , 2022, at Trinity Baptist Church with PastorBrandon Denmark and Pastor Scott Stanland officiating. Additional services will be held at First Baptist Church of Estero with Pastor Frank BrandOfficiating at a later date, with entombment to followat Fort Myers Memorial Gardens.
