MITCHELL Okey Mitchell, age 75, of Green Cove Springs, a retired supply clerk and bookkeeper, passed away peacefully, August 2, 2011, while under hospice care in his residence. He is survived by his loving wife Daphne Mitchell ; daughter, Kristy Zeppa of Green Cove Springs; brother, Carl Mitchell (Barakah) of Buffalo N.Y.; sister, Eloise Hunter of Green Cove Springs; and good friends, Donald Williams (Bernice) of Green Cove Springs, Mark LaBlanc of Middleburg and one grandchild who he adored. Okey loved doing things at home and playing scratch off tickets. He will also be missed by his 5 dogs, who he loved. The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
