Olga Wilfriede Brudet

Surrounded by her loved ones, Olga Wilfriede Brudet, 83, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2025. She was born on June 19, 1942, in Suriname.

Olga was a remarkable woman—small in stature at just 4 foot 11, yet larger than life in spirit, strength, and love. A devoted mother of seven, she raised her children on her own with unwavering determination, faith, and grace. She was deeply generous, always giving from the little she had, and her heart was as full as her character was strong.

Throughout her life, Olga worked tirelessly—as a teacher, in-home nurse, and housekeeper—providing for her family through hard work and resilience. She was "old school" in the best sense: thoughtful, disciplined, and grounded in faith. Her prayers were constant, her love unconditional, and her hope always rooted in wanting the best for her children.

She adored her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as her sons- and daughters-in-law, who brought her great joy. Her legacy lives on through the love, faith, and strength she instilled in those she leaves behind.

Olga will be laid to rest in her beloved home country of Suriname.
