Funeral services for Oliver Arthur Walker, Jr., 81, will be held at 12:30PM Monday, from the graveside, in Jacksonville National Cemetery, with Dr. Terry N. Collins officiating. Born January 8, 1934, in San Antonio, Texas, to Jean and Oliver Walker, Mr. Walker died Thursday, March 26, 2015 in Jacksonville. He served in the United States Army and was retired as a Mail Handler from the United States Postal Service. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Christine Davey Walker of Jacksonville; a daughter, Karen W. (Jason) Hardin of St. Augustine, Florida; a son, Patrick D. (Kristin) Walker of Durham, North Carolina; two sisters, Kathleen N. Golden of Centerville, Virginia and Lavinia A. (Thomas) Hatch of Wheaton, Maryland; four grandchildren, Katelyn Walker, Aidan Walker, Amelia Harden, and Gillian Harden; many nieces and nephews and other family members.
