Ollie Stricklin, 83 of Keystone Heights died Sat. August 7, 2010 at Putnam Community Medical Center in Palatka. Ollie was born on June 3, 1927 in Coleman, AL to the late Ollie & Della (Drummond) Stricklin. Ollie was a retired Chief in the United States Navy, and had moved to Keystone Heights in 1961 from San Diego, CA. Ollie was a lifetime member of the Keystone Heights Am-Vets Post 86. He was preceded in death by his wife Jean and a grandson Kevin. He is survived by his daughter Patricia Roberts and his son Bill Stricklin. He is also survived by his sisters, Mary, Opal, Edna, 2 grandsons, several great grandchildren, and close friend Gary Bright and his family. Viewing for Mr. Stricklin will be held on Thursday, August 12th from 6-8 in the Jones-Gallagher Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 13, 2010 at 10 Oclock in the Jones-Gallagher Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wayne Hendrick officiating. Burial will follow at Gadara Cemetery with Military Rites.
