Omar Padilla, lovingly known as "Mito," was taken from us far too soon on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, in Jacksonville, Florida.

Born on February 14, 1990, in Paterson, New Jersey, Omar was the beloved son of the late Felix Padilla Marrero and Daisy Santiago. Family was everything to him, and he carried that love with him in every part of his life.

Omar shared a beautiful life with his fiancée and the love of his life, Lesandra, with whom he spent 19 devoted years. Together, they raised three children, Julian Omar Padilla, Jovani Elmo Padilla, and Aniya Kristal Padilla, who were the center of his world. He loved his children deeply and worked every day to be the best father he could be.

He is also deeply loved and remembered by his mother, his brother and sisters, along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Omar cherished his entire family and the time he spent with them.

Omar had a vibrant personality and could talk to anyone. He enjoyed fishing, salsa music, and cheering on his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers. He took pride in his mobile detailing work and loved to cook—his empanadas and crab meat salad were favorites among family and friends. Even after suffering a serious back injury in 2023, Omar remained strong, positive, and determined to keep pushing forward for his family.

Above all, Omar was a devoted family man. His love, laughter, and presence will be missed dearly by all who knew him.
