Mrs. Ora Mims Smith age 89 of Starke passed away Thursday, December 24, 2009 at her residence. Mrs. Smith was born on October 23, 1920 in Sylacauga, Alabama to the late Joe Earl and Ola Elizabeth Harville Mims and moved to Starke in 2003 from Marietta, GA. Mrs. Smith was a member of Bible Baptist Church and was a retired Beautician. She was a former Factory Worker, a Union Leader, and worked at Wal-Mart. She was preceded in death by her husband Samuel Charles Jones and sons Horace Smith and Jimmy Bo Smith. Survivors are her daughter Bonnie Roberts of Starke; grandchildren: Melissa Speer (Mark) of St. Augustine; Michelle Sculley (Bill) of Starke; three great grandchildren; one great great grandchild. Funeral services for Mrs. Smith will be on Monday, December 28, 2009 in Bible Baptist Church at 1:00 PM with Reverend Roger Worten officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment will be on Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at 12:00 noon in Fairview Memorial Gardens, Stockbridge, GA.
