Oscar Leo Donald, affectionately known as "Sonny," passed away peacefully on May 24, 2026, at the age of 76.

Sonny was born on July 27, 1949, in Waynesboro, Mississippi, to the late Robert Donald and Birdie Lee (Jimmison) Donald. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and later spent many years working as a truck driver, a profession that reflected his hardworking spirit and dedication to providing for his family.

Sonny was a husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Ed Donald, Bill Donald, Joe Donald, Bobby Donald, and JW Donald; and his sisters, Mary Bigby, Janell McDougal, and Schryl Roberson.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa "Gail" Donald of Pearl, Mississippi; his children, Rhonda Donald, Kevin Donald, Kenny McQueen, and Lisa Vance; and three cherished grandchildren who lovingly knew him as "PaPaw." He is also survived by his sisters, Rachel Frazier, Carol Gill, and Hazel Muncher.

The family would also like to express heartfelt gratitude to Ruby Polk, who lovingly cared for Sonny for the past 12 years with compassion and devotion.
