Mr. Otis Charles Forsyth, 83, passed away Sunday, June 10, 2012 at the Roberts Care Center in Palatka, Florida. Mr. Forsyth was born April 17, 1929 in Lake Butler, Florida to the late Joe B. and Maggie (Green) Forsyth. He was a longtime resident of Keystone Heights and was retired from the United States Coast Guard after serving 20 years. Mr. Forsyth enjoyed fishing, hunting, and horseback riding, and was of the Baptist Faith. He was preceded in death by his brother, Leaston Forsyth. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Loretta (Charron) Forsyth; Children, Anita Crosby (Ronald) of Starke, Curtis Forsyth (Marilyn) of Keystone Heights, Yvonne Phelps of Virginia, and Claude Stodgell (Lynn) of St. Petersburg; Sister, Ina Horne of Hampton; Brother, Vernon Forsyth of Hampton; Numerous Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, and Great Great Grandchildren. A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at 11 a.m. in the Keystone Heights Cemetery with Pastor Jimmy Scott officiating.
