Mr. Palmer Allen TouchtonMr. Palmer Allen Touchton age 73, of Starke passed away Monday, March 5, 2012 at Malcom Randall VA Medical Center in Gainesville following an extended illness. Mr. Touchton was born on May 23, 1938 in Lake Park, Georgia to the late Allen Frank A.F. and Hertha Jean (Harrell) Touchton and was a longtime area resident. Prior to retirement he worked as a plumber and served in the United States Army. He was a member of Hope Baptist Church, was a NASCAR and a football fan. He enjoyed spending time with his family, was a collector of many things, enjoyed Country Music and was a longtime member of Foster Drive Baptist Church in Jacksonville before moving to Starke. Mr. Touchton was preceded in death by his wives Barbara Touchton and Cindy Touchton and sisters: Carolyn Brown and Shirley Guy. Survivors are: his children: Tina Howell (Mike) of Hampton; Robin Carter and Allen Touchton (Karen) all of Jacksonville; Becky Dugat ( Darrell); Brad Touchton (Megan); Josh Touchton; Zack Touchton all of Starke; Brian Touchton (Amie) of Pennsylvania; siblings: Bobby Touchton (Kim) of Georgia; Aven Warren (Kenny); Vera Ermin (Jim) all of Jacksonville; Ted Touchton (Trish) of Sarasota; Stanley Touchton (Marie) of Florahome; twenty one grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to any Veterans Hospital. The family will receive friends in the DEWITT C. JONES CHAPEL in Starke, 620 East Nona Street in Starke on Saturday, March 10, 2012 from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. with funeral services beginning at 11 oclock. Mr. Bobby Touchton will officiate.
