Patricia Samorisky Anders

Mrs. Patricia "Patty" "Patsy" Anders age 69, of Keystone Heights passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at Shands Gainesville. Patty was born on September 24, 1947 in Jacksonville and was a lifelong area resident. She was a member of Sampson City Church of God and prior to retirement she worked for over 20 years as a paraprofessional within the school system, a job she adored. She enjoyed helping students and the friendships she made with some of her co-workers became lifelong friendships. Patty loved to shop and was an avid bargain hunter, she loved Elvis, Ricky Nelson and the 1950s including the 50s rock-n-roll music. In her younger years she and her daughter and family spent many days at the beach which she loved. Preceding her in death was her mother, Beatrice (Mincy) Samorisky. she is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, George W. "Billy" Anders of Keystone Heights, her daughter, Lisa M. Adams and her husband, Mal, of Melrose; sons, George W. "Billy" Anders, Jr. and his wife, Charlene, of Florahome, Scotty Anders and his wife, Lynne, of Hampton, and Michael Anders and his wife, Angie, of Lake Butler; father, Albert Samorisky of Melrose; brother, Joey Samorisky of Jacksonville; and sister, Jeanine Fickling of Fernandina Beach; along with nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2:00 pm on Monday, November 21, 2016 at Sampson City Church of God with Pastor Gene Bass and Pastor Buster Appling officiating. Interment followed in Long Branch Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Sampson City Church of God, 8252 SW County Road 225, Starke, FL 32091.
