Mrs. Patricia S. Arnett 95, of Melrose passed away at her home Sunday, September 4, 2022.She was born January 5, 1927, in Jacksonville to George and Eleanor (Rodgers) Sterling.Mrs. Arnett retired from JAX NAS working in their Household Goods Supply departmenthelping military families. She was of the Methodist Faith and loved traveling out west toLas Vegas and Albuquerque, New Mexico along with overseas to Italy, England, and Greecejust to name a few. Going out to eat and taking care of others are also things she enjoyed todo, but most of all she loved helping with and fostering the Shih Tzu Furbaby Rescue. Inaddition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband John R. Arnettand siblings Dorothy R. Sterling, George A. Sterling Jr. and Beverly S. Alford. Mrs. Arnett issurvived by her children Valerie Webb of Melrose and Michael Horning (Mary) ofJacksonville along with a nephew David Alford. She was lovingly called "Nonie" by twograndchildren Brooke Swann and Blair Swann; six great grandchildren Jordan Vangorder,Noah Vangorder, Colton Davila, Alysa Moore, Savannah Brown and Brianna Brown alongwith two great-great grandchildren Madilyn Pattee and Tatum Pattee. Also left behind arenumerous extended family members and friends that will miss her dearly. There are noscheduled services at this time. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Shih Tzu Furbaby Rescue, 346 Osprey Circle, St. Marys, GA 31558.
