Patricia Casteel, age 72, passed away on Tuesday July 28, 2020 in Jacksonville, FL.A Jacksonville native, Pat was born here on August 4, 1947 to Kendrix W. Thompson & Bernice V. Ricketts Thompson. She married Mack W. Casteel in 1964 and went on to raise their 3 children. Among Pats favorite things to do were watch Gator football, cooking & spending time with family. Her most joy came from being with her loving & devoted family, especially her grandchildren & great-grandchildren and most especially during the holidays.Pat was preceded in death by her husband Mack W. Casteel, Sr. in 2003 and by her granddaughter, Crissy in March of 2020. She is survived by her 3 children Kim Hurley (husband, James), Mack W. Casteel, Jr. (wife, Kim) & Tracy "Trey" Timmons (husband, Scott); her 6 grandchildren, Katelyn, JR, Jacob, Melissa, Mackie, and Zach; and her 3 great-grandchildren, Lucas, Olivia & Connor. She is also survived by many extended family members & many friends.Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday August 1, 2020 in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Blvd., S., with Rev. Billy W. Jones officiating. Due to the ongoing circumstances, masks & social distancing" will be required. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held the evening prior, on Friday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.Flowers may be sent to George H.
