Mrs. Patricia "Patty" Henderson age 82 of Hawthorne passed away at her home on Saturday, April 27th, 2024, following an extended illness. She was born in Washington, D.C. to Wallace and Alice (Martin) Blake. Following her graduation from Bishop Moore High School in Orlando, she worked as a telephone operator and later as an ophthalmologist assistant. But, she is best known in the community of Melrose for 15 years of service as a beloved teacher at Ochwilla Elementary. She was also an active member of Immanuel Anglican Church in Keystone Heights. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her twin brother Wallace "Buddy" Carlyle Blake Jr. Left behind to cherish her memory is her husband Glen Henderson, and her daughters Andrea, Alisa, Amelia, Anessa, and Ashlea. She was lovingly called "Grammy" by her grandchildren Stephanie, Carlyle, Tyler, Jakob, Katelynn, Jackson, Wilson, Hayden, and Wolf. She was also loved by step-daughters Susan, Lisa, Robin, Kelly, and 10 step-grandchildren and 4 step-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, May 3rd, 2024 between 5-7 p.m. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 4th, 2024, at the Immanuel Anglican Church of Keystone Heights with Bishop Raul Toro, Jr. officiating.
