Patrick Keith Freeman, 48, of High Springs, passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at HCA North Florida Regional Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family. Born November 11, 1975, in Jacksonville, Fl, to Richard Thomas Freeman and Nancy (Anderson) Freeman. Patrick graduated from Orange Park High School class of 1995. During his youth he was active in the Boy Scouts and reached the rank of Eagle Scout. After graduation he proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps with the 8th Engineer Support Battalion as a Combat Engineer. He later served in the Florida Air National Guard with the 202nd Red Horse Squadron as a Civil Engineer. He was employed with the University of Florida at the time of his death as a Warehouse/Stores Manager. He preferred spending time outdoors, going to the beach, jeeping with friends and fishing with his family. Patrick was a team player and always willing to help his coworkers and friends. Patricks main priority in life though was always family. He was a loving son, husband and father who always doted on his family. Patrick was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, John Freeman, Sr and Betty Jean (Foster) Freeman; his maternal grandparents, Orville "Andy" Anderson and Mary (McIntosh) Anderson; and his father, Richard Freeman. Patrick is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Regina Yates Freeman of High Springs; two sons, Keith and Jacob Freeman both of High Springs; his mother, Nancy Freeman of Manhattan, KS; one sister, Anne Freeman of Manhattan, KS; and two nieces, Blair Labombarbe of Manhattan, KS and Hailey Pitts-Shaffer of Cassle Rock, CO. A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 10:00 AM, on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at the chapel of Forest Meadows Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the care of Forest Meadows Funeral Home, 725 NW 23rd Ave, Gainesville., 32609, 352-378-2528. It will be streamed for those who cannot attend in person. A small gathering will be held after the service at Wesley United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, 826 NW 23rd Ave, Gainesville, 32609.
