Mrs. Patsy Ruth Thomas Griffis age 69, of Starke passed away Thursday, August 15, 2013 at Haven Hospice, E.T. York Care Center in Gainesville. Mrs. Griffis was born February 17, 1944 in Bradford County to the late William and Mildred (Thigpen) Thomas and was a lifelong area resident. Prior to retirement she worked for the Bradford County School Board as a Bus Driver. Her husband, John Carlton J.C. Griffis preceded her in death. Survivors are: her son, John Carlton Jay Griffis, Jr. and wife, Robin of Starke and her granddaughter, Brittani Griffis of Starke. The family will receive friends at JONES-GALLAGHER FUNERAL HOME in Starke on Sunday, August 18, 2013 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Graveside funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, August 19, 2013 in Crosby Lake Cemetery with Pastor Charles Starling officiating. hide
