Mrs. Pauline Futch DeVore age 91 of Lawtey passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at Windsor Manor Nursing Home. Mrs. DeVore was born in Lawtey October 29, 1922 to the late Robert H. and Minnie (Griffis). She was a housewife and a lifetime Baptist. She also enjoyed going to the senior center, traveling to the mountains, playing slot machines, watching Wheel of Fortune and The Young & The Restless; The Restless along with listening to Elvis. Mrs. Devore was also an avid Gator fan and a fantastic cook. She loved to laugh, have fun, spend time with her grandchildren and enjoying life. She was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, John DeVore and 10 siblings. Survivors are her children; Johnie DeVore, wife Rita of St. Petersburg, Linda Adkins, husband J.R. of Starke, David DeVore, wife Ginger of Las Vegas, and Teresa D. Patterson, husband Bobby of Lawtey. Also left behind are her sister Margaret Pauley of Lawtey, eleven grandchildren, and seventeen great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Saturday, February 1, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the DeWitt C. Jones Chapel with Pastor Ricky Norman officiating. The viewing will be held one hour prior to services beginning, and interment will follow at Lawtey Cemetery.
