Pearl Sandra Griffin passed away peacefully on Sunday, Aug 27, 2023, at the age of 85, in Gainesville FL. Pearl was a devout Christian and devoted wife, mother of 4 - Karen, Kevin (April), Randy (Amber), and Brian (Katherine); grandmother of 9 - Stephen, Thomas, Brittani, Andrew, Brandi, Ryleigh, Shaunacie, Delainey, and Gage; and great-grandmother of 4 - Thea, Hayleigh, Navy, and Ashlyn. She was married to the love of her life, Russell, for 54 years until his passing in 2014.She was a member of Northwest Baptist Church and her passion was working in the church library. She was an avid reader, enjoyed putting puzzles together, and doing puzzle books. Pearl Russell enjoyed traveling and doing mission trips for many years.There will be a viewing on Friday, Sept 1, 2023 at Forest Meadows Funeral Home, 725 NW 23rd Avenue, Gainesville from 5:30 - 7:00 PM.The funeral will be held on Saturday, Sept 2, 2023 at Northwest Baptist Church, 5514 NW 23rd Avenue, Gainesville FL at 11:00 AM.In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations to Haven Hospice in Gainesville or Florida Baptist Children's Home.
